The “Rhythms of Life” school assemblies are designed to encourage students to commit to life. We use this program to build up a students self esteem, bring awareness to the suicide problem, teach them the basics of how they can support others who may be depressed or suicidal. However, this program is not designed to be a stand- alone program. It is designed to kick-start or lead into more in depth training, such as QPR, ASSIST or other workshops that Carry the Cure offers.

The assembly begins with a two minute video that is simply used as a way to gain student interest. It is a computer generated video that gives the feeling of being in a virtual reality game. Included at the end of the video is a ten second countdown.

The countdown leads into a live music presentation with a full band expressing lyrics that include the message of "Committing to Life".
